Indscn0002-House Pathology

This is a picture of our in house laboratory. We are able to obtain results for routine tests very quickly in critical situations. More complex procedures are performed at a specialist Veterinary laboratory located in Brisbane. The turn around time for Brisbane tests is 24 hours.

At times it is necessary for patients to be hospitalised. This is a picture of Folly the Jack Russell in the dog ward.

dscn0010Preparation or Non-Sterile Surgical Room

The preparation room is used to prepare animals for surgical procedures. This is also where non sterile procedures are performed.

dscn0017Consultation Room

Here is the No.1 consulting room. Examination of pets and routine procedures are carried out in one of the consult rooms.

dscn0014Reception Area

Renae hates having her photo taken but we caught her off guard while she took a phone call at the reception desk.

dscn0019Cat Ward

This is the cat ward. It is completely separate from the dog ward to minimise distress and disturbance to animals recovering from surgery or sickness.

img0277Sterile Surgical Room

The sterile surgery suite is kept isolated from other areas of the hospital so that more complex procedures can be performed in a sterile atmosphere. One of the anaesthetic machines, surgical table and light can be seen in this view. An x-ray viewer is on the wall. Anaesthetic monitoring equipment can also be seen.
